The Committee are pleased to announce that Australian professional darts player

Kyle "The Original" Anderson

has been booked for the Presentation Night on Thursday 16th June.

@ U.K.Paper Leisure Club, Main Hall

He will play a few lucky players and present trophies to all Winners

Important Notice to all Division Two Teams:-

Can all Division Two teams please note that the Towns Club will be closing for good on Saturday 6th Febraury 2016. They will be playing all further Home games from The Kings Head

Important Notice To All Teams

At the A.G.M it was proposed to introduce an over 60's Knockout, this will be held in the memory of Eddy Austin, one of our long serving players who died recently. This will be called "The Eddy Austin Memorial Trophy" and will be open to all players who have a minimum age of 60. The Over 50's Knockout will still be held & players can play in one or the other but not both. These will be played on Thursday 26th May 2016, venues to be notified.

Please Note:-

This League is a Mens League, and I will not allow a team to play 4 women players in a team at any one time, especially when they have men players available. We have allowed a team to play 3 players to keep a team from dropping out of the League, but this is with the agreement of both captains. I will be watching this situation and if need be guilty teams will lose any points won by women players.

Any Captain has the right to refuse to allow more than 2 women to play for an opposing team.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Polite Notice:-

I am annoyed at teams who cannot get their results cards in, although I have had their score, then getting e.mails & textes complaining that the 140 & 180 (& Highest Checks) lists are incorrect. The only way these will be correct is if all teams get their result cards in promptly so I can update these lists properly. Any 140's & 180's (& Highest Checks) that are not registered or received will not be added to the lists. Try to get these in by Monday noon at the latest. If you want to see your result in the local paper then I need them in  by Sunday.

I have also noticed that certain teams have been changing the bottom of the Result Cards to Home & Away Captain instead of the Winning & Losing Captain as printed. The cards were printed that way to stop Captains signing the cards early in the night and going home. Captains should remain to the end of evenings play to do so. Every team had notification of this with their fixture sheets, so have no excuse. Teams who persist in doing this will be docked points for doing so.

Competition Venues

All Teams who enter Competitions are given at least one Venue. If people have a problem with any venue for whatever reason, then let the Committee know. If we feel it is a problem that needs looking at, then we will do so. So until any valid complaints are received,  all entering teams will get venues. The Committee are in the process of going around to all venues within the league to measure up all throws and access all conditions of those venues. If we feel any adjustments need to be made the venue will be notified. If the said adjustments are not carried out, the venues in question could lose future competition venues

It is Important that if you need to cancel a match you must let the League Secretary

know. If you do not notify the League Secretary, he may think the game has been

played, but not received the score or score card, and you find out the match has

been regarded as a void match and lose any points you may have won when played

Competition Venues

All venues will be 8:15 p.m register (at the latest)  8:20 p.m draw,  8:30 p.m start of play.

Persons / teams turning up late  (without prior notice) will be excluded from the draw, no exceptions.

All losing teams / persons will be expected to score the next game after losing, no exceptions

It is the responsibility of the drawmaster to inform the League Secretary of venue winners

All normal league playing rules to apply to all competitions

Only the registered Captains entered on the Captains Knockout list will be allowed to play, No Vice-Captains or Substitutes permitted.

Can all venues ensure that they have a good standard dartboard availiable for Competitions. If venues cannot provide Competitions standard boards, they could lose further competiton venues.

Can all persons who are scoring a match remember that they are the match referee and should be alert at all times, not talking to their mates, or texting on their phones etc, as making mistakes by not paying attention could cause unwanted problems at venues. This applies to League matches as well as Competitioins

All drawpersons at competition venues have the authority to make a decision if any problems arise, until and if a further decision has to be made.
